Proggio’s Employee Spotlight: Itay
Let’s get to know Proggio’s Newest Customer Success Manager – Itay Saban!
A little bit about Itay:
I love interacting with people in order to understand their thoughts and ways of working. I believe that people are super interesting and I Iearn something new from every person I talk to – including my two teenage kids! Interacting with them (although challenging at times) allows me to really see the people they are, and are turning into, and the set of principles and values that guide them.
Work stuff
1. What do you love most about your role at Proggio?
Interacting with customers on a daily basis, working with amazing people and learning a lot from them in a great company atmosphere.
2. What advice do you have for someone also interested in that type of position?
You need to be open minded and patient, willing to listen and learn from others and at times empathetic. Always remember that on the other side there is another person who seeks your help/ so you need to be both professional and kind at the same time.
3. What are your biggest accomplishments so far at Proggio?
Having joined Proggio just 6 weeks ago, I’ve already had a chance to learn a lot about the product, guide some customers on the system, and gauge their progress. The real accomplishment however is getting more fruit, and less junk into the office!
Fun Stuff
4. Do you have any hidden talents?
On the weekends I’m a Chinese Medicine therapist! I treat patients using acupuncture for pain, emotional, and internal organ related issues. Helping and connecting with people in this way to make their lives better and easier is a huge privilege.
5. What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to and why?
I spent nearly a month in Mexico and experienced a very unique culture. From amazing scenery and food, to crazy changeable weather, sleeping in the jungle and paradise beaches. This is a memory that I will never forget.
6. What is one piece of advice you’d give your younger self?
Life brings lots of challenges along the way. It’s not always a straight and easy road and there are some obstacles that you’ll need to overcome, but remember that you are a strong person and you can achieve whatever you wish. No matter what, you will get up and continue and move forward.
7. What would be your weapon of choice in a zombie apocalypse?
A time freezing ring – inspired by 1970s tv series “Tales of the Unexpected”. I would roam the earth as I wish, making changes as I see fit. Once I’m finished I would unfreeze the world and it would continue again as though nothing had ever happened.
8. What is your biggest guilty pleasure and why?
All things chocolate, because it is delicious. I prefer dark chocolate based treats like mousse, pralines and chocolate cakes. The fudgier it gets, the better!
9. Which cuisine cultures do you most admire?
I love the aesthetic tidiness and organization of Japanese food that can be eaten in one delicious bite. Also, my mum’s amazing home-cooked Iraqi food -such as kubbe (a kind of semolina dumpling).
10. If you could quickly and easily learn any new skill, what would it be?
Wow, I have a few I would love to know! Can I have them all? 🙂
To pick one, it would be to know how to play an instrument, like a guitar, to take with me when I’m outdoors or hanging out with my friends or family. There’s some magic in music that can unite almost anyone around it, no matter what their culture, origins or age is.
There you have it! We hope you enjoyed learning more about the people who power Proggio and have helped get us to where we are today. If you’re interested in learning more about our adaptive project portfolio management platform, drop us a note.
